# MonstarX Docs > Learn how to build, launch and grow full-stack web apps with MonstarX, the AI app builder. Step-by-step guides, screenshots and answers for every feature. MonstarX (https://monstarx.com) is an AI app builder: describe an app in plain words and it plans, builds, tests and publishes a complete full-stack web app — pages, database, user accounts, email, file storage and AI features — with a live preview, version history, automated browser testing, security scans, SEO tools, one-click publishing to a free *.monstarx.app address or your own domain, and sync to GitHub. The full text of every page is at https://docs.monstarx.com/llms-full.txt. ## Get started - [What is MonstarX?](https://docs.monstarx.com/getting-started/what-is-monstarx/): MonstarX is an AI app builder for people with an idea and no engineering team. You describe an app in plain words; MonstarX plans it, writes the code, runs it live while it works, gives it a database, sign-in, email, file storage and AI, tests it in a real browser and publishes it to its own address or your domain. The code is yours to export at any time. - [Quickstart: build your first app](https://docs.monstarx.com/getting-started/quickstart/): Create a free account, type what your app should do into the box on Projects and press Build it. MonstarX plans the features, writes the app and shows it running in the preview, usually within a few minutes. Try it, ask for changes in the chat, then click Publish to put it online at your-app.monstarx.app. - [How MonstarX works](https://docs.monstarx.com/getting-started/how-it-works/): You describe an app. An AI agent plans it as a checklist of features, then writes the code on a secure cloud computer where your app runs live in the preview as it is built. Every change to the code is saved as a version you can go back to. MonstarX Cloud gives the app its database, sign-in, email, storage and AI. You can test it in real browsers, publish it to its own address in one click, and keep improving it by chatting. - [Tour of the workspace](https://docs.monstarx.com/getting-started/workspace-tour/): A project opens in the workspace. The top bar has the tabs (Preview, Admin, Code, Backend, Logs, Security, SEO/GEO, Social) and the tools (Versions, QA, GitHub, Share, Publish, Settings). On the left is the chat, with the feature plan at the top and the prompt box at the bottom — the Build, Plan and Chat switch, the model picker, the usage ring and Send or Stop. On the right is whatever tab is open, usually the live preview. - [The Projects page](https://docs.monstarx.com/getting-started/projects-page/): Projects is your home in MonstarX. The prompt box at the top starts a new app. Below it, every project you own or that was shared with you is a card with a picture of the app. Search with the / key, filter by whose it is, its status and the services it uses, sort it, switch to a list, and use a card's ⋯ menu to open, rename, duplicate, refresh its picture, open its settings, delete it or leave it. - [Build on your phone](https://docs.monstarx.com/getting-started/build-on-your-phone/): MonstarX works in your phone's browser. Describe the app on Projects, tap Build it and put the phone away — the build runs on MonstarX without the tab. Turn on notifications to hear when it is done, has questions or stopped. On a phone the project shows one view at a time (Chat, Preview, Code…) and everything else is under More (•••). On an iPhone, add MonstarX to your Home Screen to get notifications. ## Start a project - [Describe your app and build it](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/describe-your-app/): On Projects, describe your app in a few plain sentences — who it is for and what people do in it — and press Build it (or Enter). MonstarX creates the project, opens its workspace and starts building. Signed out, you can describe it on the home page first; your words wait for you after you sign up. - [Speak your request with voice typing](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/voice-typing/): Click the microphone in the prompt box (or press ⌘⇧Space on a Mac, Ctrl+Shift+Space on Windows) and talk. Your words appear as you speak, in English or Japanese, with filler words like "um" left out. Click again to stop, or press Enter to finish and send in one go. Hold the shortcut to talk only while it is held. - [Attach pictures and documents to a request](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/attach-files/): Click the paperclip (or paste or drop files) in the prompt box on Projects or in a project's chat. Pictures show MonstarX what you mean; documents such as an RFP or a spec are read and built from. Up to 10 files per request — pictures up to 15 MB, documents up to 50 MB. - [Choose the AI model that builds your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/choose-a-model/): Beside Build it, the model button reads Auto — MonstarX then picks the right model and effort for every request and shows its choice on each reply. Pick a model yourself when you want one model every time. Premium models use more credits and come with the Plus, Pro and Ultra plans. - [Turn a rough idea into a detailed request with Auto Enhance](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/auto-enhance/): Type your idea on Projects and pause. Auto Enhance with AI appears in the corner of the box; click it and MonstarX rewrites your idea into a full request in a few seconds. Edit it, press Undo to get your words back, or Try again for another version. - [Plan first — answer a few questions before the build](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/plan-first/): Switch on Plan first in the prompt box and press Plan it. MonstarX plays your idea back and asks 4–7 questions one at a time, each with suggested answers — often your app's name and its look, drawn as small pages. Answer, skip or write your own; then press Start building. - [Design first — choose the look before the build](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/design-first/): Switch on Design first on Projects and press Build it. Within a minute you see three finished-looking first screens of your idea, each in a different style, on desktop and phone. Load more, see variations, tweak colours, corners and fonts, or ask for an adjustment — then press Build with your favourite, and the whole app follows that look. - [Build an app from an RFP, a spec or other documents](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/from-documents/): Attach your documents to the prompt box on Projects and press Build it — words are optional. MonstarX reads every document (scans included), writes a requirements brief of features, rules and roles, and builds from it. Later documents, such as an addendum, are read and merged, and the later one wins where they disagree. - [Turn a spreadsheet into an app](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/from-a-spreadsheet/): On Projects, click Spreadsheet (or attach a workbook and choose Turn … into an app). MonstarX reads every sheet on your computer and shows what it found — tables, keys, formulas, links, drop-downs, totals, the report and settings sheets. Add a note, press Plan the app, approve the proposed plan with Build it, and your rows come along. - [Build a working app from a Figma design](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/from-figma/): In Figma, use File → Save local copy… to get a .fig. On Projects, click Figma and drop it in. MonstarX reads it in your browser and shows every screen; tick the ones to build (up to 30), describe what the design cannot show, and press Build this app — or Plan first to answer a few questions before the build. - [Import an existing app from GitHub, a .zip or Lovable](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/import-an-app/): On Projects, open Import and choose GitHub, A .zip or Lovable. MonstarX checks the code in a few seconds and says whether it runs as it is. Press Import and run — the app opens in the preview, and chat, Edit mode, versions and QA all work on your own code. Apps MonstarX cannot run (phone apps, Django, Rails…) can be studied and rebuilt instead. - [Clone a public website into a new app](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/clone-a-website/): On Projects, open Import → Website and enter a public address. MonstarX finds the site's pages from its links and sitemap; tick up to 20, confirm you have permission to copy them, and press Clone. MonstarX captures each page on desktop and phone and rebuilds them as a new app. - [Start from an app your coding agent built](https://docs.monstarx.com/start/your-coding-agent/): On Projects, open Import → Your agent (or Connect your agent). Copy the one-line command for Claude Code or Codex, sign in once in the browser, and from then on tell your agent "Push this app to MonstarX". The app lands in Projects, runs in the preview, and you can keep building it in MonstarX or in your agent. ## Build and edit - [Build, Plan and Chat modes](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/modes/): Pick a mode with the switch above the prompt box. Build (the default) changes your app. Plan asks you a few questions with suggested answers, then builds from them. Chat explains and investigates — it reads your code, data, pages and logs — but never changes anything; its Build this button turns a proposal into a build. - [The feature plan](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/feature-plan/): For a new app or a request with several features, MonstarX writes a feature plan — a checklist pinned above the chat — and ticks each feature off as it is built. You can add features, reorder or remove the ones not built yet, build one on its own, reopen a built one, and press Continue to build whatever is left. Automated QA marks each feature Verified, QA failed or Needs keys. - [Keep working while it builds](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/queue/): A Build request you send while a build runs waits in Up next above the prompt box and starts by itself when the build before it is done — even with the tab closed. Chat and Plan requests don't wait; they answer beside the build. You can move waiting requests up, take one back to edit, remove them, and Stop or Resume the queue. - [Follow a build](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/follow-a-build/): While MonstarX works, the chat streams its messages and folds its steps into one plain-language line per stretch of work, with a live "Reasoning…" line saying what it is working out. Until there is something to see, the preview shows a status card with a clock and the current step. Each reply ends with its token use, older requests fold into numbered, searchable threads, and a wrap-up card appears when the whole plan is built. - [Edit mode — point at the page and say what to change](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/edit-mode/): Click Edit in the preview toolbar, then click any element or drag a box around an area of your running app and type what should change. Mark up to 20 places — on any page — and click Send changes. MonstarX gets each note with exactly what you pointed at and builds all the changes in one request. - [Clip — show MonstarX part of the page](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/clip/): Click Clip in the preview toolbar, then drag a box around anything on the page or click an element. A picture of exactly what you see — scrolled, with menus open and fields filled in — goes into the prompt box as Clip 1, labelled with its page. Add several, write your message and send it in any mode. - [The preview — your app, running live](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/preview/): The Preview tab runs your app for real while you build it. Use the address bar to open any page, the device buttons to see it at tablet (820 px) or phone (390 px) width, ↻ to reload and ⟲ to restart it, and the arrow to open it in its own tab. After 20 minutes without use it goes to sleep and shows a saved copy until you come back. - [The Code tab — read and edit your app's code](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/code/): The Code tab shows every file of your app in a folder tree, with an editor beside it. Click a file to read it, type to change it and press Save (or ⌘S / Ctrl+S); each save becomes a version you can go back to. Apps are built with TanStack Start, React and TypeScript. The code is yours — download it from Project settings → Export, or keep it in GitHub. - [The Logs tab — what your app's server says](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/logs/): The Logs tab shows what your app's preview server prints — page reloads, updates and, most usefully, errors. Click Refresh for the latest lines. You rarely need to read it yourself. Ask in Chat mode, such as "Why does the booking page fail?", and MonstarX reads the logs, finds the cause and explains it without changing anything. - [Versions — go back to an earlier state of your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/versions/): Every build that changes your app, every edit you save in the Code tab and every restore saves a version of your app's code. Open Versions in the workspace header and click Restore to go back to one. Restoring replaces the code only — your app's data, uploaded files, chat and feature plan stay as they are — and it is saved as a new version, so you can undo it. - [Pictures in your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/pictures/): While it builds, MonstarX draws photos for your app — a hero, dishes, a studio, people at work — and shows them in the chat with a Made by AI badge. After every build it checks that each picture loads, and replaces a missing one with a new photo or a labelled stand-in. To use your own photo, attach it and say where it goes; to change one, point at it in Edit mode and describe the new photo. - [Project settings](https://docs.monstarx.com/build/project-settings/): Click Settings in the workspace header to open Project settings. General holds the name, the description, the model and effort that build the project, when to suggest browser QA and what happens when QA finds a problem, plus the project's details. The other pages cover the app's addresses and domains, people, export, transfer and the danger zone. ## Backend (MonstarX Cloud) - [Your app's database](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/database/): Every app MonstarX builds has its own private database, made for you on the first build. Open Backend → Database to see every table, its rows and its migrations, and to run read-only SQL. To add or change records, use the Admin tab or ask in the chat. The preview and your published app share the same data, and restoring a version never touches it. - [User accounts and sign-in in your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/user-accounts/): Every MonstarX app can have sign-up, sign-in and password reset built in — ask for them and they work. Everyone who signs up appears under Backend → Users, where you can ban or delete them. The Admin tab does more — roles, password resets and signing people out. After a build with sign-in, MonstarX makes a demo account so you can try it straight away. - [Send email from your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/email/): Every MonstarX app can send email from its own address, like pantry-notes@monstarx.app — booking confirmations, receipts, welcome notes and password resets. Ask for the email in the chat and it is built. Each app may send 50 emails an hour and 300 a day. Every email is listed under Backend → Emails. To send from your own domain, connect Resend. - [Uploads and file storage in your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/file-storage/): Every MonstarX app can store files — profile pictures, product photos, PDFs, voice notes. Ask for an upload and MonstarX builds it. Files can be public (anyone with the link can see them) or private (only signed-in people). Each file can be up to 50 MB. See, preview, download and delete them under Backend → Files. - [Add AI features to your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/ai-in-your-app/): Every MonstarX app can use AI with no key of its own — to write and summarise text, fill in forms, chat, make images, read text aloud, turn speech into text and search the web with sources. Describe the AI feature and MonstarX builds it. Each app may make 300 AI requests and 30 images a day, and its AI counts toward your plan's usage. Every call is listed under Backend → AI. - [Maps in your app — no API key needed](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/maps/): Every MonstarX app can draw two kinds of map with no key and no setup — a world map of countries you can click and colour, and a street map with pins you can pan and zoom. Ask for the map in the chat. Connect Mapbox or Google Maps only for address search, directions, places or satellite views. - [Store API keys safely with Secrets](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/secrets/): Secrets are your app's locked box for API keys and private settings. Add them under Backend → Secrets with a name like WEATHER_API_KEY — they are stored encrypted, never shown again, and read by your app's server code only. Click Apply to preview to use them straight away; the live app gets them the next time you publish. Never paste a key into the chat. - [Your app's REST API and API docs](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/rest-api/): In the Admin tab, APIs turns your app's tables into REST endpoints that other software can call — list, get, create, update or delete records. You choose the table, the fields and who may call it (anyone for reading, or only callers with a project API key), then switch it on with Publish endpoint. When you want to share them, click Publish docs to put up an API reference page and an OpenAPI file for developers. - [Use live country data in your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/country-data/): MonstarX hosts live public data for Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates and the Philippines. Ask for a feature that needs it and MonstarX shows a card to enable that country in one click, then builds with the real data. You can also enable a country yourself in Backend → Country data. No account, no API key. - [Connect Stripe, Twilio and other services](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/connectors/): Connectors plug outside services into your app — Stripe for payments, Twilio for text messages, Resend for your own email domain and more. Ask for the feature in the chat and MonstarX shows a card for the keys, or open Backend → Cloud → Connectors and click Connect. No keys yet? Click Later and MonstarX builds everything anyway. - [Let MonstarX use your business tools](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/business-tools/): Business tools connect your own accounts — Google Sheets, Calendar, Docs, Slides, Gmail, Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, Xero, Jira, Shopify, Figma and others — to one project, for MonstarX's builder to use while it works. It can read them in any mode and change them only in Build mode when you ask. Your app itself never gets these accounts. - [Give MonstarX tools with MCP connectors](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/mcp-connectors/): In Backend → Cloud → Connectors → MCP, add a remote MCP server by name and HTTPS address, or paste a JSON configuration for several at once. MonstarX checks the connection, lists the server's tools, and can then use them in Build mode for that project. Up to 32 servers per project. - [Keep your app's data in your own Supabase](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/supabase/): Connect Supabase in Backend → Cloud with your project's connection string. MonstarX counts your tables, rows and accounts, and when you click Move my app it copies everything into Supabase, checks every row arrived, points the app at it and rewrites the code. Your data then lives only in Supabase; Move back brings it home. - [Keep your app's data in Railway Postgres](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/railway/): The Railway connector does two separate things. With an API token, project ID and environment ID it lets you deploy the app to Railway. Add your Railway Postgres public connection string too, and MonstarX moves the app's tables and rows there, checks them, and rewrites the app to use it. Move back brings the data home. - [Use your own Firebase project](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/firebase/): Paste your Firebase service account key file into the Firebase connector in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX checks it with Google, then your app can use Firestore, Firebase sign-in, Cloud Storage, push messages and the Realtime Database. You can also make Firestore the app's main data store, and copy its existing tables across. - [Run your app on your own Cloudflare account](https://docs.monstarx.com/cloud/cloudflare-account/): Connect a Cloudflare API token in Backend → Cloud and your app can run on your own Cloudflare account — your Worker, your D1 database, your domain and your bill — instead of MonstarX's. Its code can also use Cloudflare services such as KV, R2, Queues, Vectorize and Workers AI, which MonstarX creates on your account. ## Connectors - [Connect Stripe to your MonstarX app](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/stripe/): Stripe lets your app take real payments. Paste your Stripe keys into Backend → Cloud (or the card MonstarX shows in the chat), choosing Sandbox (test keys) while you try things out and Production (live keys) when real customers pay. MonstarX writes the checkout for you. - [Connect Twilio to your MonstarX app](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/twilio/): Twilio sends text messages from a phone number you rent from it. Paste your Account SID, auth token and Twilio number into Backend → Cloud, then ask MonstarX for the messages you want, like "text members a reminder the day before their class". - [Connect Resend to your MonstarX app](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/resend/): Resend sends email from a domain you own. Verify your domain in Resend, paste an API key and a From address into Backend → Cloud, then ask MonstarX to send the app's emails through Resend. It replaces the built-in MonstarX Email, which you can switch off once nothing uses it. - [Connect OpenAI to your MonstarX app](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/openai/): Every MonstarX app already has AI built in. Connect OpenAI with your own API key in Backend → Cloud and ask MonstarX to use it, and your app's AI features run on your OpenAI account instead — billed by OpenAI, outside MonstarX's daily limits. You can switch back to MonstarX AI at any time. - [Connect OpenRouter to your MonstarX app](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/openrouter/): OpenRouter gives one key for models from many AI companies. Connect it with your key in Backend → Cloud and ask MonstarX to use it, naming a model if you like. Your app's AI then runs on your OpenRouter credit instead of MonstarX AI, and you can switch back at any time. - [Connect ElevenLabs to your MonstarX app](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/elevenlabs/): ElevenLabs turns text into natural-sounding speech in many voices and languages. Paste your ElevenLabs API key into Backend → Cloud and ask for a voice feature, like a Listen button on each article. The audio is saved with your app's files and played in the page. - [Connect Google Maps to your MonstarX app](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/google-maps/): Your app can already show maps for free. Connect Google Maps when you want Google's data — searching for places, filling in addresses as people type, business details and reviews, or directions. Create an API key in Google Cloud, paste it into Backend → Cloud and ask for the feature. - [Connect Mapbox to your MonstarX app](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/mapbox/): Your app's maps work for free without Mapbox. Paste a Mapbox public token (pk.…) into Backend → Cloud and your street maps switch to Mapbox's styles by themselves, satellite included. Ask MonstarX for address search or directions and it uses the same token. - [Connect Firecrawl to your MonstarX app](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/firecrawl/): Firecrawl reads web pages for your app and hands back clean text, without the menus and ads. Paste your Firecrawl API key into Backend → Cloud and ask for the feature, like "paste a recipe link and import the recipe". It can read one page, a whole site, or search the web and read the results. - [Connect Google Analytics to your MonstarX app](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/google-analytics/): Google Analytics counts your app's visitors, the pages they see and the actions they take. Create a GA4 property with a web data stream, paste its measurement ID (G-…) into Backend → Cloud and ask MonstarX to add analytics. Visits then show up in your Google Analytics reports. - [Connect Zernio to your MonstarX app](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/zernio/): Zernio is one service for posting to many social networks. Paste your Zernio API key into Backend → Cloud and ask for a social feature. Your app's users sign in to their own social accounts through Zernio, and your app publishes or schedules posts for them. - [Use Gmail with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/gmail/): Connect Gmail in Backend → Cloud by signing in with Google. MonstarX's builder can then search and read your mail in any mode, and send a plain-text email to one person when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your Gmail. - [Use Google Calendar with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/google-calendar/): Connect Google Calendar in Backend → Cloud by signing in with Google. MonstarX's builder can then list your calendars and read events in any mode, and create, change or delete an event when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your calendar. - [Use Google Docs with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/google-docs/): Connect Google Docs in Backend → Cloud by signing in with Google. MonstarX's builder can then find and read your documents in any mode, and create a new document or edit one when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your Google account. - [Use Google Sheets with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/google-sheets/): Connect Google Sheets in Backend → Cloud by signing in with Google. MonstarX's builder can then find spreadsheets and read their cells in any mode, and add rows or change cells when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your Google account. - [Use Google Slides with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/google-slides/): Connect Google Slides in Backend → Cloud by signing in with Google. MonstarX's builder can then find and read your presentations in any mode, and create a new presentation or edit one when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your Google account. - [Use your Slack workspace with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/slack-workspace/): Connect Slack in Backend → Cloud by signing in to your workspace. MonstarX's builder can then list channels and read the ones its app was added to in any mode, and post a message when you ask in Build mode. This is not the MonstarX Slack app you build with — that one is under Settings → Integrations. - [Use HubSpot with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/hubspot/): Connect HubSpot in Backend → Cloud by signing in to your HubSpot account. MonstarX's builder can then list and read your contacts in any mode, and create or update a contact when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your HubSpot account. - [Use Salesforce with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/salesforce/): Connect Salesforce in Backend → Cloud by signing in to your org. MonstarX's builder can then list and read contacts in any mode, and create or update a contact when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your Salesforce account. - [Use Zoho CRM with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/zoho-crm/): Connect Zoho CRM in Backend → Cloud by signing in to Zoho. MonstarX's builder can then read Contacts, Leads, Deals and Accounts in any mode, and create or update a Contact when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your Zoho account. - [Use Shopify with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/shopify/): Connect Shopify in Backend → Cloud by typing your store's .myshopify.com address and signing in. MonstarX's builder can then look up your shop, products and orders in any mode. It only reads — it never changes your store — and your app never gets the connection. - [Use Xero with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/xero/): Connect Xero in Backend → Cloud by signing in and choosing your organisations. MonstarX's builder can then list your organisations and read contacts in any mode, and create or update a contact when you ask in Build mode. It never sees invoices or bank data, and your app never gets your Xero account. - [Use Jira with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/atlassian/): Connect Atlassian in Backend → Cloud by signing in to your Atlassian account. MonstarX's builder can then search and read Jira issues in any mode, and create an issue when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your Atlassian account. - [Use Asana with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/asana/): Connect Asana in Backend → Cloud by signing in to Asana. MonstarX's builder can then read your workspaces, projects and tasks in any mode, and create a task or update one when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your Asana account. - [Use Miro with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/miro/): Connect Miro in Backend → Cloud by signing in and choosing a team. MonstarX's builder can then list, search and read your boards and the items on them, in any mode. It only reads — it never changes a board — and your app never gets your Miro account. - [Use Canva with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/canva/): Connect Canva in Backend → Cloud by signing in to Canva. MonstarX's builder can then list, search and look up your designs in any mode, and create a new blank design — a doc, presentation, whiteboard or email — when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your Canva account. - [Use Figma with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/figma/): Connect Figma in Backend → Cloud by signing in to Figma. MonstarX's builder can then read a Figma file from its link — its pages, frames and layers — and render chosen frames as pictures, in any mode. It never changes your files. To start a new app from a design, use the Figma button on Projects instead. - [Use Workday with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/workday/): Connect Workday in Backend → Cloud by signing in to your company's Workday. MonstarX's builder can then list workers and read a worker's record, in any mode. It only reads — it never changes Workday — and your app never gets the connection. - [Use Anthropic with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/anthropic/): Paste an Anthropic API key into the Anthropic row in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX's builder can then list the Claude models your key can use and ask one of them for a written answer, billed to your Anthropic account. The key is for the builder only — your app never gets it. - [Use Gemini with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/gemini/): Create a key in Google AI Studio and paste it into the Gemini row in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX's builder can then list the Gemini models your key can use and ask one of them for text, on your Google account. The key is for the builder only — your app never gets it. - [Use TypeSafe AI with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/typesafe/): Paste a TypeSafe API key into the TypeSafe AI row in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX's builder can then ask Jev, TypeSafe's model, up to 20 typed questions at once — yes/no, pick one of several options, or a score — and get back answers with probabilities. The key is for the builder only. - [Use HeyGen with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/heygen/): Paste a HeyGen API key into the HeyGen row in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX's builder can then browse your avatars, voices and videos in any mode, and make a talking-avatar video from your script in Build mode when you ask — which uses your HeyGen credits. - [Use Paddle with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/paddle/): Choose Sandbox or Live and paste a Paddle API key into the Paddle row in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX's builder can then read your Paddle products, customers, transactions and subscriptions, for example to build a pricing page that matches your catalogue. It only reads — it never changes anything in Paddle. - [Use Apollo.io with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/apollo/): Paste an Apollo API key into the Apollo.io row in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX's builder can then search your saved contacts and accounts and look up people in Apollo's database, for example to shape a CRM page around your real data. It only searches — it never changes Apollo or reveals emails and phone numbers. - [Use Clay with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/clay/): Paste a Clay API key into the Clay row in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX's builder can then check your Clay account and credit balance, and — when you ask — search Clay's database of people and companies and page through the results. Searches may use Clay credits. - [Use Instantly.ai with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/instantly/): Create an Instantly API v2 key with read scopes and paste it into the Instantly.ai row in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX's builder can then read your workspace, campaigns, sending accounts and leads. It only reads — it never starts campaigns, sends email or changes leads. - [Use Granola with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/granola/): Create a Granola API key and paste it into the Granola row in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX's builder can then list and read your meeting notes and folders and page through transcripts — so you can say "build what we agreed in yesterday's call". It only reads. - [Use Sentry with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/sentry/): Create a Sentry personal token with read scopes and paste it into the Sentry row in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX's builder can then list your organizations and projects, search issues and read one in detail — so you can say "fix the top Sentry error". It only reads. - [Use n8n with MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/connectors/n8n/): Enter your n8n instance's address and an n8n API key in the n8n row in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX's builder can then list and read your workflows and their executions, for example to build an app that calls a workflow's webhook or to find why a run failed. It only reads — it does not run or change workflows. ## Test, secure and grow - [The Admin panel for your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/grow/admin-panel/): Every app you build gets an Admin tab, with nothing to set up. It lists the people who signed up (ban them, sign them out, send a password reset, make them an app admin or delete them) and your app's data as simple forms: change a price, add a product, upload a picture. Saves go live at once, every change is logged with Undo, and it is free apart from two optional AI helpers. - [Automated QA testing in a real browser](https://docs.monstarx.com/grow/qa-testing/): After a big change, MonstarX offers a QA plan. Click Run QA and its QA agent reads your code, then tests up to 24 key journeys (sign up, book, pay…) in real cloud browsers, each with a fresh test account and a real inbox. You get a report in the chat with a recording of every test, and a diagnosis of anything that fails. With Report only you choose what to fix; with Auto fix MonstarX fixes and retests by itself. QA uses credits and never starts without you. - [Scan your app for security holes](https://docs.monstarx.com/grow/security-scan/): Open Security and click Run security scan. In a minute or two MonstarX checks your code against 33 rules, probes the running app as a stranger, and has an AI read the whole app. You get a score from A to F and a list of findings, worst first, each with where it is, why it matters and what to change. Pick the ones to fix and MonstarX fixes them as a normal build, then scans again. You can download the result as a report. - [SEO and GEO — get found on Google and in AI answers](https://docs.monstarx.com/grow/seo-geo/): SEO helps people find your app on Google; GEO helps AI answer engines like ChatGPT read and quote it. Open SEO/GEO and click Auto SEO & GEO: MonstarX checks your settings, reads every page like a crawler, and has AI write better titles, descriptions and answers. You get two scores and a to-do list. Wording fixes are saved in a click with no build (your published app gets them when you next publish); the rest goes to the builder. Connect Google to see real searches and visitors. - [Make social posts, ads and videos for your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/grow/social/): Open Social, answer three short steps about your product, audience and voice, and MonstarX writes a first pack of four drafts: a text post, an image post, an ad and a short captioned video. Later campaigns can focus on a feature you just built. Edit any draft, copy the text, download PNGs, videos and subtitles, then post them yourself. Nothing is ever posted for you. ## Publish and share - [Publish your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/publish/publish-your-app/): Click Publish in the workspace header, then Publish site. MonstarX builds your app and puts it online at https://your-app.monstarx.app with HTTPS — no hosting to set up. Your changes after that stay in the preview until you click Republish, so visitors only see a version you chose to publish. - [Your app's free address](https://docs.monstarx.com/publish/app-address/): Your published app lives at a free address like lotus-flow-yoga.monstarx.app, made from the project's name the first time you publish. Change it in Settings → Address & domains — 3 to 40 lowercase letters, digits and single dashes. The live app keeps its old address until you publish again, so nothing goes offline. - [Buy a domain for your app](https://docs.monstarx.com/publish/buy-a-domain/): Open Publish, choose Buy a domain, search for a name and pick one. You pay on Stripe's secure checkout; MonstarX registers the domain through Name.com, points it and its www at your app and turns on HTTPS — usually within minutes, sometimes a few hours. Domains do not renew on their own; MonstarX emails you 45, 30 and 5 days before one expires. - [Connect a domain you already own](https://docs.monstarx.com/publish/connect-your-domain/): Open Publish → Connect a domain you own, type the address and click Connect domain. For a subdomain such as www.yourbrand.com, add one CNAME record pointing to customers.monstarx.app at your DNS provider. A root domain such as yourbrand.com needs Cloudflare DNS. MonstarX issues the HTTPS certificate once the record is live. - [Publish to other hosts](https://docs.monstarx.com/publish/other-hosts/): MonstarX hosts your app for you, but you can also run it on your own cloud account. Connect Cloudflare, Vercel, Google Cloud, Railway, Azure or AWS under Backend → Cloud, then deploy from the Publish menu. Your app keeps its database, sign-in, email, files and AI where they are; the host bills you directly. - [Export your app's code](https://docs.monstarx.com/publish/export/): In Settings → Export, click Download .zip to get the whole app as a standalone TanStack Start project, with its config, database migrations and a README with the commands to run and deploy it. Secret values, the rows in the database and uploaded files stay with MonstarX. For a copy that keeps up with every change, link a GitHub repository instead. - [Share a project and get comments](https://docs.monstarx.com/publish/share-and-comment/): Click Share in the workspace header, type an email address, pick Can view & comment or Can edit, and click Invite. Viewers follow the build and leave comments pinned to the preview; you get a notification and turn each comment into a feature or dismiss it. Editors can also send requests, edit code and restore versions. Publishing, billing and settings stay with you. - [Transfer a project to another account](https://docs.monstarx.com/publish/transfer/): In Settings → Transfer, enter the new owner's email (they need a MonstarX account already), type the project's name to confirm and click Transfer this project. Everything moves — code, chat, versions, database, secrets, the live app and its domains — and future usage counts against their plan. The GitHub link is dropped. Only the new owner can hand it back. - [Unpublish your app or delete a project](https://docs.monstarx.com/publish/unpublish-or-delete/): Unpublish (Publish → Unpublish, or Settings → Danger zone) takes the app offline but keeps the project, its code and its data, so you can publish again any time. Delete this project removes everything — code, chat, versions, the app's database and files, the published app and invites — and cannot be undone. Domains you bought stay yours. ## Integrations - [Save your project to GitHub](https://docs.monstarx.com/integrations/github/): Connect GitHub in one click with MonstarX's GitHub App (no token needed — you pick the repositories), then press GitHub in a project's top bar to create a new repository or link an existing one. MonstarX pushes the whole project, then commits every change it makes — and pulls in what you commit on GitHub. Imported apps sync to a monstarx branch, so your own branch never moves. - [Build and change apps from Slack](https://docs.monstarx.com/integrations/slack/): Install MonstarX in Slack from Settings → Integrations → Add to Slack, then connect your own MonstarX account from a direct message with a code sent to your email. Send an idea to start an app, reply in its thread to change it, run QA, and publish — all from Slack. Each thread belongs to one project, and builds use your MonstarX credits. - [Connect Claude Code, Codex or Cursor to MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/integrations/coding-agents/): MonstarX has an MCP server at https://monstarx.com/mcp. Add it to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, ChatGPT or the Claude app, sign in once in your browser, and say "Push this app to MonstarX and give me the link". Your agent can then push new versions, pull MonstarX's changes, ask MonstarX to build, set secrets and publish. - [Get help from Ask Luna](https://docs.monstarx.com/integrations/ask-luna/): Click Ask Luna in the bottom corner and ask anything about MonstarX. Luna answers in plain words and, with your permission, can take you to the right page, point at a button, open the model menu or draft a request for the builder. You can talk to it by voice, drag it anywhere on the screen, and hand the conversation to a person with one click. It doesn't use your credits. ## Account and billing - [MonstarX plans and pricing](https://docs.monstarx.com/account/plans-and-pricing/): MonstarX has four monthly plans — Free ($0), Plus ($15), Pro ($50, 5× Plus) and Ultra ($100, 10× Plus). Every plan builds the whole app with a database, sign-in, publishing, custom domains, QA and GitHub; plans differ only in how much you can build and in premium models. You subscribe and change plans through Stripe from Settings → Plan & billing or the Pricing page. - [Usage and limits](https://docs.monstarx.com/account/usage-and-limits/): Every request uses credits, which count toward two limits at once — a 5-hour session and the week (Monday to Monday, UTC). Premium models also draw on a weekly premium allowance. There is no daily or monthly limit. The ring beside the prompt box shows how much you have used, and Settings → Usage shows where every credit went. - [Boosts — reset your usage limits](https://docs.monstarx.com/account/boosts/): A Boost is a one-off reset of all three usage limits — the 5-hour limit, the weekly limit and the weekly premium allowance — back to 0%, whenever you choose. They cost $10 each on Plus and $30 each on Pro (plus tax), up to 2 a month, and stay in your account until you use them. Buying one never uses it. - [Billing, invoices and cancelling](https://docs.monstarx.com/account/billing/): Settings → Plan & billing shows your plan and when it renews, your card, who invoices are made out to, every invoice and every domain payment. Cancel plan stops renewal at the end of the period you paid for, and Keep my plan undoes that before it ends. Manage billing opens Stripe's secure portal for your card and details. - [Profile, sign-in and security](https://docs.monstarx.com/account/profile-and-sign-in/): Settings → Profile holds your look (light, dark or system), your language, and your account — name, picture, email addresses, password, two-step verification with an authenticator app, connected Google or GitHub accounts, and every device you are signed in on. A new email address is confirmed before it is used, and your receipts follow it. - [Get notified when a build is done](https://docs.monstarx.com/account/notifications/): MonstarX keeps building after you close the tab or lock your phone. Turn on notifications in Settings → Notifications (or tap Notify me above the prompt box) and each device tells you when a build is done, when Plan mode has questions, when a build stops, and when someone comments on a shared preview. On iPhone and iPad, add MonstarX to your Home Screen first. - [Use MonstarX in Japanese or English](https://docs.monstarx.com/account/language/): Click the globe at the top of any page (or go to Settings → Profile → Language) and choose English or 日本語. Everything switches — every screen, your account and support emails, the sign-in pages, and everything the AI writes to you, from replies to the feature plan, QA reports and Ask Luna's answers. Your account remembers the choice. While you use Japanese, a new app is written in Japanese too, unless you ask for another language. - [All your domains in one place](https://docs.monstarx.com/account/domains/): Settings → Domains shows every domain across all your apps — the ones you bought through MonstarX, with their expiry date, renewal price and a Renew button, and the ones you own elsewhere and connected, with their status. Bought domains do not renew on their own; MonstarX emails you 45, 30 and 5 days before one expires. - [API & MCP — connected agents and API keys](https://docs.monstarx.com/account/api-keys/): Settings → API & MCP has three parts. Connect a coding agent gives you the setup for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others. Connected agents lists every agent you allowed and lets you disconnect it. API keys makes a key for agents, scripts and CI that cannot sign in with a browser — the key is shown once, acts as you on every project, and can be revoked at any time. - [Download your data or delete your account](https://docs.monstarx.com/account/privacy-and-data/): Settings → Data & privacy has one button that downloads everything MonstarX holds about you as a JSON file, a plain list of what MonstarX keeps, and Delete account. Deleting takes every project and published app offline, cancels your plan at once, and removes your account for good — it cannot be undone. Domains stay registered until they expire. - [Emails MonstarX sends you](https://docs.monstarx.com/account/emails/): MonstarX only emails you about things that matter to your account — your plan starting, changing, being cancelled or ending; domains about to expire (45, 30 and 5 days before); projects shared with you or handed over; comments on your previews; support replies; and your account being deleted. Sign-in codes and password resets come from the sign-in provider, and payment receipts from Stripe. ## Help - [Prompting tips](https://docs.monstarx.com/help/prompting-tips/): Say who the app is for, what people do in it and what should happen next. Describe the whole app in your first request, then ask for one change at a time. Use Plan when you are unsure, Chat to ask without changing anything, and Edit mode or Clip to point at what you mean. When something breaks, say what you did, what you expected and what happened — and use Versions to go back. - [Troubleshooting common problems](https://docs.monstarx.com/help/troubleshooting/): Most problems fix themselves or take one click. A build that seems stuck is usually still working — if its current step keeps changing, wait, and press Continue if it stops at its step limit. A blank or sleeping preview wakes when you move over it; otherwise use Reload preview, then Restart dev server. "Something went wrong" and "MonstarX has just been updated" need a reload. If a change broke your app, restore an earlier version from Versions. - [Frequently asked questions](https://docs.monstarx.com/help/faq/): MonstarX is an AI app builder with a Free plan and paid Plus ($15), Pro ($50) and Ultra ($100) monthly plans. You own the code and can export it any time. Apps are full-stack web apps with their own database, sign-in, email, storage and AI, published in one click to your-app.monstarx.app or your own domain. Your content is never used to train AI models. - [Report a problem or contact support](https://docs.monstarx.com/help/report-a-problem/): To report a bug, open Ask Luna and click Report a bug with screenshots (in a project on a phone, More → Report a bug). Say what happened and how frustrating it is; MonstarX captures the page, your app's preview and the technical details, with password fields left out, and nothing is sent until you press Send report. For anything else, open a ticket in Support from the menu under your name. - [Glossary](https://docs.monstarx.com/help/glossary/): A plain-English dictionary of MonstarX. Each term — Auto, Boost, Build mode, Clip, credits, Edit mode, feature plan, MonstarX Cloud, preview, publish, queue, version, workspace and many more — has a short explanation and a link to its page. - [What's new in MonstarX](https://docs.monstarx.com/help/whats-new/): What changed in MonstarX recently, week by week, newest first. Highlights: Ask Luna with voice, Admin Studio and REST APIs in the Admin tab, editor access for teammates, Design first, a Social studio, security scans, SEO/GEO, building from Figma files, spreadsheets and documents, and automated QA that asks before it runs.
