MonstarX plans and pricing

In shortMonstarX has four monthly plans — Free ($0), Plus ($15), Pro ($50, 5× Plus) and Ultra ($100, 10× Plus). Every plan builds the whole app with a database, sign-in, publishing, custom domains, QA and GitHub; plans differ only in how much you can build and in premium models. You subscribe and change plans through Stripe from Settings → Plan & billing or the Pricing page.

MonstarX has one free plan and three paid ones. Every plan includes the whole platform — the plans never change what your apps can do. They differ in two things: how much AI work you can use (your usage), and whether you can pick the premium AI models.

You can compare them any time on the Pricing page.

A credit is a measure of AI work: one credit is one cent of usage. A quick change uses a few credits, building a whole app a few dozen, and premium models more. Usage and limits explains the 5-hour and weekly limits in full.

Whatever plan you are on, you get:

  • Live cloud previews while the app is built, and version history
  • A database, user accounts, email, file storage and AI for every app
  • Publishing to your own your-app.monstarx.app address
  • Custom domains
  • Save to GitHub and export the code
  • Automated QA in a real browser
  • Build, Plan and Chat modes

The apps you build do not cost extra. Their database, accounts, email and file storage are included. When a published app uses AI (for example, a chatbot in your app), that work draws on your plan’s usage like your own requests.

Premium models are the most expensive ones to run. Today they are Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Fable 5 and GPT Astra. MonstarX decides this by each model’s price, so the list can change as models change — the Pricing page and the model picker always show the current one.

  • Free — premium models are not included. Every other model is.
  • Plus — a weekly taste of premium models (75 credits a week).
  • Pro and Ultra — premium models can use all of your usage.

Every other model in the picker (the Fast, Lower cost and Standard groups — Claude Sonnet 5, GPT-6 Sol, Kimi K3, Gemini 3.8 Flash and many more) is on every plan, Free included. See Choose a model.

It depends on the model and the size of each request, so there is no fixed number. As a rough guide, measured at the more expensive end of the standard models, a typical request uses about 17 credits and a large build about 85:

PlanOne 5-hour sessionOne week
Free~6 typical requests, or ~1 big build~7 typical requests, or ~1 big build
Plus~9 typical requests, or 1–2 big builds~18 typical requests, or 3–4 big builds
Pro~44 typical requests, or ~9 big builds~88 typical requests, or ~18 big builds
Ultra~88 typical requests, or ~18 big builds~176 typical requests, or ~35 big builds

Cheaper models stretch this further. Auto, the default model choice, picks a cheaper model for small changes. Your real numbers are always in Settings → Usage.

  1. Open SettingsPlan & billing (or choose Plan and billing from the menu under your name). You can also start from the Pricing page.

  2. Under Change plan, click Upgrade to Plus, Upgrade to Pro or Upgrade to Ultra.

  3. Stripe’s secure checkout opens. Enter your card. If you are buying for a company, tick I’m purchasing as a business and add its name and tax ID, so invoices are made out to it.

  4. Pay. You come back to Plan & billing, and your new plan is active straight away — its limits apply from your very next request. A welcome email confirms it.

If you close the checkout without paying, the Pricing page says Checkout was cancelled — you have not been charged.

  1. Open SettingsPlan & billing.

  2. Under Change plan, click the plan you want (Upgrade to … for a bigger plan, Switch to … for a smaller one).

  3. Stripe shows the change with the price difference. Confirm it.

The change happens straight away, and the new plan’s limits apply from your next request:

  • Upgrading — you pay only the difference for the rest of the month, added to your next invoice.
  • Moving to a smaller plan — the unused part of your bigger plan is credited to your next invoice.

Either way MonstarX emails you a before-and-after summary. See Emails from MonstarX.

Cancel your plan: SettingsPlan & billingCancel plan. You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you paid for, then move to Free. Nothing you built is deleted. See Billing.

  • Prices are in US dollars and billed monthly. There are no yearly or team plans.
  • You pay by card through Stripe. Tax is added where it applies, based on your billing address.
  • The weekly limit resets every Monday (or every 7 days from a Boost you used), not on your billing date. See Usage and limits.
  • When a build runs long and you hit a limit, a Boost resets every limit at once (on Plus and Pro).
Is MonstarX free?

Yes. The Free plan costs $0 and has the whole platform — building, publishing, custom domains, QA and GitHub — with 300 credits every 5 hours and 375 a week. It uses the same models as the paid plans, except the premium ones.

What is the difference between Plus, Pro and Ultra?

Only usage and premium models. Plus ($15) is the base amount with a weekly taste of premium models; Pro ($50) has 5× the usage of Plus and premium models for all of it; Ultra ($100) has 10× the usage of Plus.

Can I change or cancel my plan any time?

Yes, from Settings → Plan & billing. A switch to another paid plan happens straight away: an upgrade costs only the difference for the rest of the month, and a smaller plan credits what you did not use to your next invoice. Cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the period you paid for.

Does unused usage roll over?

No. The 5-hour limit resets 5 hours after a session starts, and the weekly limit resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC — or every 7 days from the moment you used a Boost.

Do the apps I build cost extra to run?

No. Their database, accounts, email and file storage are included in every plan. AI that a published app uses draws on your plan's usage. A custom domain you buy is paid for separately — see Buy a domain.

Can I get an invoice for my company?

Yes. Tick I'm purchasing as a business at checkout and add the business name and tax ID. Every invoice is in Settings → Plan & billing — see Billing.
