Use Canva with MonstarX
In shortConnect Canva in Backend → Cloud by signing in to Canva. MonstarX's builder can then list, search and look up your designs in any mode, and create a new blank design — a doc, presentation, whiteboard or email — when you ask in Build mode. Your app never gets your Canva account.

Canva is an online design tool for graphics, presentations and documents. Connect it to a project and MonstarX’s builder — the AI you chat with — can find your designs while it works — which designs you have, what they are called, and links to open them — and start a new design when you ask.
This is a business tool: MonstarX uses your Canva for you. The app you build never gets your Canva account.
What can MonstarX do with it?

What it never does: edit, export, share or delete a design. It sees a design’s details, not the text or pictures inside it.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- A Canva account (any plan).
- You own the MonstarX project. Only the owner can connect or disconnect a tool.
Connect your account
Section titled “Connect your account”There are no keys to copy. You sign in to Canva, and Canva asks you to allow MonstarX to:
- Read your designs’ details — titles, thumbnails and links — to list and look them up.
- Create designs — used only to create the design you asked for.
Connect it in MonstarX
Section titled “Connect it in MonstarX”-
Open your project and click Backend in the top bar, then Cloud.

Scroll to Connectors and find Canva.

Click Connect. Canva opens. Sign in, check what MonstarX asks for, and click Allow.

You come back to your project. The row now says Connected to Canva.
Ask MonstarX to use it

Security and privacy
Section titled “Security and privacy”- Stays with MonstarX. Your Canva sign-in is stored encrypted on MonstarX’s servers. It is never written into your app’s code or given to your app.
- One project. The connection works only in the project where you made it.
- Read as information. MonstarX treats design titles as information, never as instructions.
- Disconnect any time. Click Disconnect beside Canva in BackendCloud and confirm. MonstarX forgets the sign-in straight away. To remove MonstarX from Canva too, disconnect it under Settings → Connected apps in Canva.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- A new design starts blank. Open it in Canva to fill it in.
- To use a Canva graphic in your app, download it from Canva and attach it to your message in MonstarX.
Frequently asked questions

Not directly — it sees designs' details, not their content. Download the graphic from Canva and attach it to your message.
Can it change or delete my designs?
No. It can only create a new, blank design when you ask, in Build mode.
What kinds of design can it create?
A doc, a presentation, a whiteboard or an email, each with the title you give.
