What is MonstarX?

In shortMonstarX is an AI app builder for people with an idea and no engineering team. You describe an app in plain words; MonstarX plans it, writes the code, runs it live while it works, gives it a database, sign-in, email, file storage and AI, tests it in a real browser and publishes it to its own address or your domain. The code is yours to export at any time.

MonstarX is an AI app builder. You describe the app you need in your own words, and MonstarX builds a real, working web app — not a mock-up. It has pages people can use, a database that keeps what they enter, sign-up and sign-in, emails that send, and an address on the internet when you publish it.

You never have to write code. If you do code, every file is there to read, change and download.

People who have an idea and want it working this week:

  • Founders who want a product people can actually sign up for and pay for, before hiring a team.
  • Product managers who want a clickable, data-backed version in front of users instead of another spec.
  • Business owners who want to replace a spreadsheet, an inbox and a few subscriptions with one app — bookings, orders, a client portal.
  • Agencies and consultants who deliver portals, tools and launch sites and hand the client code they own.
  • Developers who want a head start: a standard codebase they can export, sync to GitHub or keep building with their own coding agent.

Anything that runs in a web browser: websites, online stores, booking sites, client portals, internal tools, dashboards, marketplaces, AI assistants and SaaS products. A few examples people start from:

  • A booking site for a studio, with a weekly timetable, spot limits and confirmation emails.
  • A client portal where customers track their jobs, upload photos and pay invoices.
  • An internal tool for a support team to look up accounts and issue refunds.
  • A feedback board where customers post and vote on ideas, with an AI summary of the week.
  • An online ordering page for a café, with pickup times.

Every app works on phones, tablets and computers. MonstarX builds web apps; it does not make apps for the App Store or Google Play.

Every project is a full-stack web app — the part people see and the part that stores and checks their data — built on a standard, modern stack (TanStack Start, React and TypeScript). Out of the box, each app has:

Built inWhat it means for you
A databaseWhere the app keeps its information — bookings, orders, sign-ups. See Your app’s database.
User accountsSign-up, sign-in and password reset for your app’s own users. See User accounts.
EmailConfirmations and notices sent from the app’s own address. See Email.
File storagePhotos and documents people upload. See File storage.
AIAnswers, summaries, images and web search inside your app, with no API keys. See AI in your app.
MapsWorld maps, pins and store finders. See Maps.
An admin panelSee who signed up and edit the app’s data in forms, with no build needed. See The Admin panel.

Together these are MonstarX Cloud. Nothing needs setting up and no keys need pasting. When you need something more — payments, text messages, your own CRM — connectors add it with your own account at that service.

The big picture, from the first sentence to a live app. Each item links to the page that explains it.

  • Build, Plan and Chat modes for each request — see Modes.
  • A feature plan that ticks off each feature as it is built — see The feature plan.
  • A queue: send the next request while one is building — see The queue.
  • A live preview of the running app, on desktop, tablet and phone widths — see The preview.
  • Edit mode and Clip: point at the page to say what should change — see Edit mode and Clip.
  • Code and Logs tabs for anyone who wants to look under the hood — see Code and Logs.
  • Versions of every change, restorable in one click — see Versions.
  • Automated QA tests your app in real cloud browsers, with recordings — see QA testing.
  • A security scan looks for holes and fixes them — see Security scan.
  • SEO/GEO helps search engines and AI assistants find and describe your app — see SEO and GEO.
  • Social writes launch posts, ads and short videos about your app — see Social.
  • Build on your phone and get a notification when it is done — see Build on your phone.
  • Use it in English or Japanese — see Language.
  • Ask Luna, the in-app assistant, when you are stuck — see Ask Luna.

There is a Free plan, with no credit card needed, and three paid plans — Plus, Pro and Ultra — that give you more usage and access to premium AI models. Every plan includes the whole platform: the database, accounts, email, storage, AI, publishing, custom domains, QA and GitHub. See Plans and pricing.

You do. The code is a standard project that any developer can run. You can download it as a zip from the project’s Settings → Export at any time, or keep it in sync with your own GitHub repository.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe what you want and react to what you see — in words, or by clicking on the page in Edit mode. If you do code, every file is there to read and change.

Is it a prototype or a real app?

A real app. Every project is a full-stack web app with its own database, user accounts, email and file storage. It runs live while it is built, and that same app is what gets published.

Can MonstarX build a mobile app?

It builds web apps that work well on phones, tablets and computers. It does not make apps for the App Store or Google Play.

Can I start from something I already have?

Yes. Attach mockups, screenshots, documents or a spreadsheet, drop in a Figma file, or import an existing app from Lovable, GitHub or a zip. See Start a project.

Is it free?

There is a Free plan with no credit card needed, enough to build and publish a small app. Paid plans give you more usage. See Plans and pricing.
