HubSpot is a CRM — a customer relationship manager, where a business keeps its contacts and sales. Connect it to a project and MonstarX’s builder — the AI you chat with — can look at your real contacts while it works: shape a customer portal around the fields you actually keep, fill sample data with realistic records, or add a contact when you ask.

This is a business tool: MonstarX uses your HubSpot for you. The app you build never gets your HubSpot account.

What MonstarX can doWhen
List contacts — 100 at a time, with email, first name, last name, phone and companyAny mode
Read one contact — the same fieldsAny mode
Create a contact with the fields you giveOnly in Build mode, when you asked
Update a contact — change the fields you nameOnly in Build mode, when you asked

What it never does: delete or merge contacts, or touch companies, deals, tickets, emails or marketing. Contacts are the only part of HubSpot it can see.

  • A HubSpot account. The free HubSpot CRM is enough.
  • You can see and edit contacts in that HubSpot account.
  • You own the MonstarX project. Only the owner can connect or disconnect a tool.

There are no keys to copy. You sign in to HubSpot, choose the account if you have more than one, and HubSpot asks you to allow MonstarX to:

  • Read contacts — to list and read them.
  • Write contacts — used only to create or update the contact you asked for.
  1. Open your project and click Backend in the top bar, then Cloud.

  2. Scroll to Connectors and find HubSpot.

  3. Click Connect. HubSpot opens. Sign in, choose the account, check what MonstarX asks for, and connect it.

  4. You come back to your project. The row now says Connected to account and your HubSpot account number.

You typeWhat happens
“Look at my HubSpot contacts and build a client directory page with the same fields.”MonstarX reads a page of contacts and builds the directory to match.
“How many of my latest HubSpot contacts have no phone number?”It reads the contacts and answers. Nothing changes.
“Add Alex Morgan, alex@example.com, from Sunrise Pilates, to HubSpot.”In Build mode, it creates that contact.
“Update Alex Morgan’s phone number in HubSpot to 0400 000 000.”In Build mode, it finds the contact and changes the phone number.
  • Stays with MonstarX. Your HubSpot sign-in is stored encrypted on MonstarX’s servers. It is never written into your app’s code or given to your app.
  • One project. The connection works only in the project where you made it.
  • Read as information. MonstarX treats what is in a contact record as information, never as instructions.
  • Disconnect any time. Click Disconnect beside HubSpot in BackendCloud and confirm. MonstarX forgets the sign-in straight away. To remove MonstarX from HubSpot as well, uninstall it under Connected apps in your HubSpot settings.
  • Changes are real and show in HubSpot straight away, including in any workflows that run on new or changed contacts.
  • MonstarX reads contacts in pages. For a large CRM, name the contacts you mean rather than asking it to read everything.
Can my app save its sign-ups to HubSpot?

Not through this connection — it is for MonstarX's builder only. Ask MonstarX to build that feature and add a HubSpot key for your app under Backend → Secrets.

Can MonstarX delete contacts?

No. It can create and update contacts when you ask, in Build mode. It cannot delete them.

Can it see my deals or companies?

No. MonstarX asks HubSpot only for contacts.
