Zernio is a social media service: one connection that reaches X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Reddit, Bluesky and more. Connect it and your app can post to social networks — for you, or for the people who use your app, from their own accounts.
What can you build with it?
Section titled “What can you build with it?”- A social post scheduler: write once, pick the networks and a time, and it goes out.
- Automatic sharing: each new blog post or product is posted to your LinkedIn and Facebook.
- A tool for your clients: each client connects their own accounts, and your app posts for them.
- Post status: see whether each post went out and open it on the network.
How does it work?
Section titled “How does it work?”- Profiles group social accounts, for example one per client or brand.
- Connecting an account: your app sends the person to Zernio, they sign in to the social network there and approve it, and they come back to your app. Your app never sees their social password.
- Posting: your app sends the text (and pictures) with the accounts to post to, now or at a time you choose. Zernio publishes it and reports back.
Zernio also offers analytics, messages and comments. Ask for them by name if you need them, and check that your Zernio plan includes them.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- A Zernio account. Zernio bills per connected social account; the first two are free (X needs a card on file, because X charges for its API). See Zernio’s pricing for the rest.
- Accounts on the social networks you want to post to.
Get your key
Section titled “Get your key”-
Sign in to Zernio and open the dashboard’s API keys.
-
Click Create API key and copy it.
Connect it in MonstarX
Section titled “Connect it in MonstarX”-
Open your project and click Backend in the top bar, then Cloud.
-
Under Connectors, click Connect beside Zernio.
-
Paste the key into API key.
-
Click Connect Zernio. The row shows Connected, and your preview restarts with the key.
Ask MonstarX to use it
Section titled “Ask MonstarX to use it”| You type | What happens |
|---|---|
| “Add a Connect your socials page where I link my LinkedIn and Instagram.” | Buttons that send you to Zernio to connect each account, and a list of connected ones. |
| “Let me write a post, pick networks and schedule it.” | A composer with a network choice, a date and time, and a list of scheduled posts. |
| “Post every new blog article to LinkedIn automatically.” | Publishing an article also posts its title and link. |
| “Each client can connect their own accounts and schedule their own posts.” | One Zernio profile per client, with their accounts and posts kept apart. |
| “Post my latest product to my connected Instagram.” | MonstarX needs your Zernio key to see your connected accounts, so it asks for Zernio first and carries on once you connect. |
Security and privacy
Section titled “Security and privacy”- Your key is stored encrypted with this app and used only by its server. People using your app never see it.
- People connect their social accounts on the networks’ own sign-in pages, through Zernio. Their social passwords never reach your app or MonstarX.
- Only the project’s owner can connect, update or disconnect Zernio. Disconnecting removes the key from this app; social accounts stay connected in Zernio until you remove them there.
- To replace the key, create a new one in Zernio, click Update keys on the Zernio row, paste it and click Save keys. Publish again, then delete the old key.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Every connected social account is billed by Zernio, so MonstarX builds the app to connect only the accounts people choose.
- Pictures in posts must be at a public address. MonstarX stores them in your app’s public files.
- Each network has its own rules on length, pictures and video. A post that breaks them shows a failed status for that network.
- Zernio is for posting from the app you build. To get marketing posts written about your app, use the Social tab instead; it writes drafts and never posts for you.
