Pictures in your app
In shortWhile it builds, MonstarX draws photos for your app — a hero, dishes, a studio, people at work — and shows them in the chat with a Made by AI badge. After every build it checks that each picture loads, and replaces a missing one with a new photo or a labelled stand-in. To use your own photo, attach it and say where it goes; to change one, point at it in Edit mode and describe the new photo.
Photos make a website feel real — a café needs its coffee, a yoga studio its morning light. MonstarX takes care of that: it draws photos made for your business while it builds, checks that every picture on your pages actually loads, and uses your own photos whenever you give it some.
Does MonstarX add photos to my app?
Section titled “Does MonstarX add photos to my app?”Yes, in Build mode. When your app has places where photos sell it — the hero at the top of a landing page, dishes or products, the venue, people at work, article covers — MonstarX draws them while it writes the pages. Nothing waits for them: the pages already know where each photo will be, and the photos appear as they finish.
In the chat you see a card while this happens — for example Drawing 6 photos for the app · 2 of 6 ready, with a tile for each photo. When they are done it reads Drew 6 photos for the app, with each photo, what it shows and which model drew it.
- Every photo carries a Made by AI badge, so you always know which pictures MonstarX drew before you publish them.
- Click a photo to open it full size. Hover to see what it shows, which model drew it and how long it took.
- When the last photo of a set is ready, the preview reloads once so the new photos show up.
Tools and dashboards don’t get stock scenes — photos are used where they help the page, not everywhere.
What do the photos look like?
Section titled “What do the photos look like?”MonstarX writes a detailed brief for each photo — the subject, the setting, the light, the framing and room for a headline — and gives the whole set one shared style in your app’s colours, so they look like one photo shoot. They are drawn to look like real photographs: true-to-life colour and skin, real materials, no text or logos, and none of the glossy “AI look”.
How many photos can one request draw?
Section titled “How many photos can one request draw?”Up to 20. Most apps need far fewer — usually three to eight. Drawn photos count toward your plan’s usage like the rest of the build.
How do I change a photo?
Section titled “How do I change a photo?”The easiest way is Edit mode:
-
Click Edit in the preview toolbar.
-
Click the photo you want to change.
-
Describe the new one: Use a real photo here: a small morning class on mats in a sunlit studio with sage-green walls.
-
Click Send 1 change. MonstarX draws the new photo and puts it in place.
You can also ask in the chat: “Draw a different hero photo — an empty studio at sunrise.” A new photo never overwrites an old one; it gets a name of its own.
How do I use my own photos?
Section titled “How do I use my own photos?”Attach them to a message in the chat (the paperclip, or drag them onto the prompt box) and say where they go: “Use this photo as the hero on the home page” or “These are our three teachers — use them on the teachers page.” MonstarX puts your photos into the app itself — you don’t need to move any files. See Attach files.
What is the image check after each build?
Section titled “What is the image check after each build?”A web page can point at a picture that isn’t there — the page still works, but shows a broken image. So after every build that changed your app, MonstarX checks every picture your pages point at, while the chat shows Checking the app’s images…:
- A picture that loads is left alone. When everything loads, nothing is posted.
- A picture that is missing (or turns out not to be a picture) is replaced with a new photo drawn for that spot, marked Made by AI.
- When the code doesn’t say clearly what belongs there, or it names a real person or a real company’s product, MonstarX does not draw one — a made-up photo of a real person would be worse than a gap. It puts in a stand-in instead: a neutral tile with the name of what belongs there.
The card in the chat shows what was replaced and why. A stand-in stays until you tell MonstarX what belongs there — or attach the real photo. The fix is saved in the version of that build, so you can restore it like any other change. Automated QA runs the same check before it tests your app.
One check replaces up to 10 missing pictures. Any more are listed on the card as still broken — ask MonstarX to fix them in your next request.
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Where are the drawn photos kept?
With your project, in MonstarX's file storage, so the preview and your published app show the same photos. Before you publish, check that each one suits your business — the Made by AI badge in the chat tells you which ones MonstarX drew.
Why does my app have a gradient or a tile instead of a photo?
Either MonstarX chose not to put a photo there, or it could not tell what belongs there and put in a stand-in. Point at it with Edit mode and describe the photo you want, or attach your own.
Will MonstarX draw a photo of a real person?
No. It never draws a likeness of a named real person or a real company's product. Attach a real photo instead.
Can my app's users generate images too?
Yes, that is a different feature: your app can call AI image generation for its own users. See AI in your app.
I imported an app. Does MonstarX draw photos for it?
No. For apps you imported, MonstarX leaves the pictures as they are in your code.
