Google Calendar is Google’s calendar. Connect it to a project and MonstarX’s builder — the AI you chat with — can see what is on your calendars while it works: build a class timetable from your real schedule, check which days you are free, or put a launch meeting in the diary when you ask.
This is a business tool: MonstarX uses your calendar for you. The app you build never gets it. If you want your app to show or book times for its own users, ask MonstarX to build that feature — it gives the app its own access.
What can MonstarX do with it?
Section titled “What can MonstarX do with it?”| What MonstarX can do | When |
|---|---|
| List your calendars — every calendar in your Google Calendar list, including shared ones | Any mode |
| Read events on a calendar (your main one unless you name another), between two dates if you like, 100 at a time | Any mode |
| Create an event with a title, start and end (and details such as a place or description) | Only in Build mode, when you asked |
| Change an event — move it, rename it or edit its details | Only in Build mode, when you asked |
| Delete an event | Only in Build mode, when you asked |
What it never does: create or delete whole calendars, change who a calendar is shared with, or change your calendar settings.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- A Google account with Google Calendar.
- You own the MonstarX project. Only the owner can connect or disconnect a tool.
- If your company uses Google Workspace, your admin may have to allow MonstarX before you can sign in.
Connect your account
Section titled “Connect your account”There are no keys to copy. You sign in with Google, and Google asks you to allow:
- See the list of your calendars — used to list them.
- View and edit events on your calendars — used to read events and, when you ask, to add, change or delete one.
Google also shares your name and email address, so MonstarX can show which account is connected.
Connect it in MonstarX
Section titled “Connect it in MonstarX”-
Open your project and click Backend in the top bar, then Cloud.
-
Scroll to Connectors and find Google Calendar.
-
Click Connect. Google opens. Choose your account, check what MonstarX asks for, and allow it.
-
You come back to your project. The row now says Connected as and your Google email.
Ask MonstarX to use it
Section titled “Ask MonstarX to use it”| You type | What happens |
|---|---|
| “Look at my Pilates calendar for next week and build a timetable page with those classes.” | MonstarX lists your calendars, reads next week’s events on that one and builds the page. |
| “Which afternoons am I free this week?” | It reads your events and answers. Nothing changes. |
| “Add ‘Launch review’ to my calendar on Friday from 2 to 3 pm.” | In Build mode, it creates that event. |
| “Move tomorrow’s ‘Supplier call’ to 4 pm.” | In Build mode, it finds the event and changes its time. |
Security and privacy
Section titled “Security and privacy”- Stays with MonstarX. Your Google sign-in is stored encrypted on MonstarX’s servers. It is never written into your app’s code or given to your app.
- One project. The connection works only in the project where you made it.
- Read as information. MonstarX treats event titles and notes as information, never as instructions.
- Disconnect any time. Click Disconnect beside Google Calendar in BackendCloud and confirm. MonstarX forgets the sign-in and tells Google to cancel its access.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Changes are real. An event MonstarX adds or changes shows on your calendar straight away, and Google may send invitations or updates to the guests on it.
- MonstarX uses your main calendar unless you name another one.
- Each Google tool connects on its own. Connecting Calendar does not connect Gmail or Google Sheets.
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Can MonstarX delete my events?
Only in Build mode, and only an event you asked it to delete. In Plan and Chat mode it can read your calendar but not change it.
Can my booking app use this calendar?
Not through this connection — it is for MonstarX's builder only. Ask MonstarX to build the booking feature and it gives your app its own access.
Can it see calendars other people shared with me?
Yes, if they are in your Google Calendar list. It sees what your Google account can see.
How do I remove MonstarX from my Google account?
Click Disconnect in Backend → Cloud. MonstarX also cancels its access with Google.
