Project settings

In shortClick Settings in the workspace header to open Project settings. General holds the name, the description, the model and effort that build the project, when to suggest browser QA and what happens when QA finds a problem, plus the project's details. The other pages cover the app's addresses and domains, people, export, transfer and the danger zone.

Everything about a project that isn’t the app itself lives in Project settings: what it is called, which AI model builds it, how QA behaves, and where to share, download, hand over or delete it.

Click Settings (the gear) at the right of the workspace header. On a phone, open More and choose Project settings. You can also open them from a project’s ⋯ menu on the Projects page.

The dialog has six pages on the left: General, Address & domains, People, Export, Transfer and Danger zone. Only the project’s owner can open them.

What the project is called in MonstarX (up to 80 characters). Type a new name and it is saved. Renaming never changes your app’s address. You can also rename a project by clicking its name at the top of the workspace.

After the first build MonstarX gives the project a short name and description from what was built — unless you already named it yourself.

A line about the app, up to 500 characters, shown on your Projects page. It is for you: The builder is guided by the chat, not by this.

Which AI model builds this project, and its effort — how long it thinks before it answers: Low, Medium, High, Extra high or Max, where the model offers them. Deeper thinking uses more credits. Auto picks the model and effort for each request. This is the same choice as the model picker beside the prompt box. See Choose a model.

Automated QA tests your app’s journeys in a real browser. QA always shows a plan and waits for your choice before using cloud browsers or credits. Two choices shape it:

When to suggest QA

OptionWhat happens
After substantial changes (default)A QA plan is offered after larger changes.
On requestA plan is shown only when you open QA yourself.
After every buildA plan is offered after every change to the app.

When QA finds a problem

OptionWhat happens
Report only (recommended)QA shows what it found and asks before each fix attempt.
Auto fixQA fixes the problems it diagnosed and tests again by itself. Uses additional credits.

Everything MonstarX knows about this project: its project id, when it was created and last changed, how many messages, files, versions and features it has, who owns it and its database. If the project is linked to GitHub, the repository is shown with how it syncs.

Does renaming my project change its web address?

No. The address stays the same. To change it, use Address & domains — see Your app's address.

Does the description change what MonstarX builds?

No. It is only shown on your Projects page. Tell MonstarX what to build in the chat.

Can I change the model from the chat instead?

Yes. The model picker beside the prompt box is the same setting: a change in either place applies to every request you send after it, until you change it again.

Why are the Browser QA options greyed out?

QA is not available for this project right now. The note under the options explains why.

Can people I shared the project with change its settings?

No. Only the owner can open Project settings — even people who Can edit the project cannot.
