Salesforce is a CRM — a customer relationship manager, where a business keeps its contacts and sales. Connect your Salesforce org (your company’s Salesforce) to a project and MonstarX’s builder — the AI you chat with — can look at your real contacts while it works: build a partner portal with the fields you keep, check a record, or add a contact when you ask.

This is a business tool: MonstarX uses your Salesforce for you. The app you build never gets your Salesforce account.

What MonstarX can doWhen
List contacts — the 100 most recently changed, with first name, last name, email and phone, then the next 100Any mode
Read one contact — every field on the recordAny mode
Create a contact — a last name is required, other fields as you give themOnly in Build mode, when you asked
Update a contact — change the fields you nameOnly in Build mode, when you asked

What it never does: delete contacts, or read or change accounts, leads, opportunities, cases or any other object. Contacts are the only records it works with.

  • A Salesforce org with API access (Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance and Developer Edition include it).
  • Your Salesforce user can see and edit contacts.
  • You own the MonstarX project. Only the owner can connect or disconnect a tool.

There are no keys to copy. You sign in on Salesforce’s own login page and Salesforce asks you to allow MonstarX to:

  • Access and manage your data — Salesforce’s standard permission for connected apps. MonstarX uses it only for contacts.
  • Perform requests at any time — so the connection keeps working without you signing in again.

Salesforce’s own sharing rules still apply: MonstarX sees only the contacts your user can see.

  1. Open your project and click Backend in the top bar, then Cloud.

  2. Scroll to Connectors and find Salesforce.

  3. Click Connect. Salesforce’s login page opens. Sign in, check what MonstarX asks for, and click Allow.

  4. You come back to your project. The row now says Connected to and your org’s Salesforce address.

You typeWhat happens
“Read my latest Salesforce contacts and build a partner directory with those fields.”MonstarX lists recent contacts and builds the directory to match.
“Open the Salesforce contact for Alex Morgan and tell me which fields are empty.”It reads the record and answers. Nothing changes.
“Create a Salesforce contact: Alex Morgan, alex@example.com.”In Build mode, it creates the contact.
  • Stays with MonstarX. Your Salesforce sign-in is stored encrypted on MonstarX’s servers. It is never written into your app’s code or given to your app.
  • One project. The connection works only in the project where you made it.
  • Read as information. MonstarX treats what is in a record as information, never as instructions.
  • Disconnect any time. Click Disconnect beside Salesforce in BackendCloud and confirm. MonstarX forgets the sign-in straight away. To remove its access in Salesforce too, revoke it under Settings → Connected Apps (in your personal settings, Connections).
  • MonstarX signs in through Salesforce’s standard login page (login.salesforce.com), which is for production and Developer Edition orgs.
  • Changes are real and can start any flows or automation your org runs on contacts.
Why does Salesforce ask to access all my data?

Salesforce has no narrower permission for contacts only. MonstarX's builder is limited to listing, reading, creating and updating contacts.

Can MonstarX delete Salesforce records?

No. It can create and update contacts when you ask, in Build mode. It cannot delete anything.

Can my app use this connection?

No. It is for MonstarX's builder only. If your app needs Salesforce, ask MonstarX to build that feature and it asks you for the app's own access.
