Get help from Ask Luna

In shortClick Ask Luna in the bottom corner and ask anything about MonstarX. Luna answers in plain words and, with your permission, can take you to the right page, point at a button, open the model menu or draft a request for the builder. You can talk to it by voice, drag it anywhere on the screen, and hand the conversation to a person with one click. It doesn't use your credits.

Luna is MonstarX’s built-in helper. It lives in the bottom corner of every page once you are signed in, and knows how MonstarX works: where things are, what each feature does, which models you can pick and what your plan includes. Ask it anything, in your own words — “where is my admin panel?”, “how do I put this on my own domain?” — and it answers, then offers to take you there.

Luna is separate from the builder you chat with in a project. Asking Luna never changes your app and never uses your credits.

Ask Luna where the admin panel is, and it answers and offers to take you there.
  • Click Ask Luna in the bottom-right corner of the page.
  • Or press Alt+/ from anywhere (on Windows and Linux).
  • On a phone, in a project, tap the purple X (the MonstarX mark) in the project’s header.

The panel opens with three questions to start from — Where is my admin panel?, How do I publish my app? and I’m stuck. Help me figure it out — and a box to type your own. In the panel’s header, + starts a new conversation, the two small arrows shrink the Ask Luna button to a purple X (see below), and the down arrow minimises the panel.

Yes. On a computer, Ask Luna goes wherever you put it.

  • Drag the Ask Luna button anywhere on the screen. A click still opens it.
  • Drag the open panel by its header (the Ask Luna title, not its buttons).
  • Make the button smaller. Open Ask Luna and click the two small arrows in the header (Minimize to the purple X icon). The panel closes and the button becomes a small purple X. To bring the full button back, open Ask Luna and click the same place again (Show the full Ask Luna button when minimized).
Drag the Ask Luna button across the screen, then drag the open panel by its header.

Ask Luna always stays fully inside the window, even when you make the window smaller. Where you put it lasts for this browser tab; the small purple X is remembered in this browser until you change it back. Dragging needs a mouse or trackpad: on a phone or a touch screen, Ask Luna stays in its corner.

Answer questions. Luna answers first, in steps when there are steps. It knows the page you are on and the project you have open, and it follows up on “show me where” from earlier in the conversation.

Knows these docs. Luna has read every page of the MonstarX Docs — this site. When your question needs details (a setting, a limit, a connector’s keys, what to do when something fails), it looks them up, explains them in your language, and links to the section so you can read more.

Take you there, with your permission. When there is a place to go, Luna shows a card labelled With your permission and waits for you (the recording at the top of this page shows one). Click Allow or Not now. Luna can:

  • open a MonstarX page, such as SettingsIntegrations or Plans & pricing;
  • open a place in your project, such as the Admin panel, Admin → APIs, Buy a domain or Address & domains;
  • show you the model menu under the prompt box, without choosing a model for you;
  • switch between light and dark appearance, or match your device;
  • put a suggested request into the builder’s message box — it is only a draft, and nothing is sent until you press Send yourself.

When you allow it, a purple cursor shows you the way. Press Stop guiding or Escape to stop it at any time.

Take you there, step by step. When what you need is a few clicks deep — a tab, then a section, then a button — Luna offers the whole route on one card, with each step listed. Allow it once, and the purple cursor opens the page and presses through the menus and tabs for you, then marks the control you were looking for. Luna only presses things that move you around; a button that saves, sends, pays, publishes, connects or deletes something is marked for you to press yourself. If a step isn’t where she expects, she stops and tells you where she got to.

One Allow: Luna opens Integrations and marks Connect personal GitHub account, without pressing it.

Help on the page itself. Click the pointer button beside the microphone to turn on Use this page. After you allow it, Luna can see the names of the buttons and ordinary fields on the MonstarX page you are on, and offer to point at one, click it or fill it in. Each click or fill needs its own approval, and a fill shows the exact text first.

Yes. Click the microphone (Talk to Luna), read what voice mode does, and click Start voice.

  • Speak naturally. Luna sends what you say after a short pause, and reads its answer aloud. It starts with a short, direct sentence and begins speaking as soon as the first phrase is ready, while the rest of the answer is still being written.
  • Before any action it asks out loud — “Would you like me to open it for you? Say yes or no.”
  • Tap Interrupt and speak to cut in, or End voice to go back to typing.
  • If your browser can’t recognise speech live, Luna records up to 30 seconds at a time and sends it for transcription.

Luna stops listening while it speaks, and whenever you close the panel or switch tabs.

Click Talk to a person at the bottom of the panel — or click the thumbs-down (Still stuck) under an answer.

  1. Luna offers to bring the team in. Click Open a support ticket.

  2. Check the Subject (it starts from your question), pick a Topic, and say What should the team know?

  3. Luna includes only the recent chat about this issue. You can edit or untick it. The form also captures this page and your app preview when available, and you can attach files or remove screenshots. Browser details and recent errors are included when you send.

  4. Click Send support ticket. Luna confirms only once the ticket has really been sent, with its number. Follow the replies in Support.

Found a bug? Luna suggests Report a bug with screenshots for a concrete malfunction. The same button is always at the bottom of the panel — see Report a problem.

  • Free to use. Luna doesn’t spend your credits. There is a chat limit of 30 questions every ten minutes and 200 a day; if you reach it, Luna says so and support is still a click away.
  • Your conversation stays in this browser tab. It isn’t saved to your account. + starts a fresh one.
  • Copy an answer with the copy button under it; thumbs up (That helped) or down (Still stuck) tells Luna how it did.
  • If a reply fails — a lost connection, a timeout — Luna keeps what arrived and offers Try again.
  • English and Japanese. When you use MonstarX in Japanese, Luna answers in polite Japanese and uses the Japanese names of the buttons you see — even if you ask in English — unless you ask for another language. In English, Luna answers in the language you write in. See Language.
  • Shared projects. In a project someone shared with you to view, Luna can’t prepare builder requests or open owner-only areas.
Does Ask Luna use my credits?

No. Luna is included. Only the builder in your projects uses credits — and a draft Luna puts in the builder's box is only sent when you press Send.

Can Luna change my app?

No. Luna can open pages, point at things and, with your approval, click or fill a field on a MonstarX page. It never builds or edits your app itself.

Can Luna see my data?

Luna knows which page you are on and the project you have open. It doesn't see your app's data, your secrets, other projects or what you typed into fields.

What is the keyboard shortcut?

Alt+/ on Windows and Linux. The button itself always works: click Ask Luna in the bottom-right corner.

Ask Luna is covering something. Can I move it?

Yes. On a computer, drag the Ask Luna button, or the open panel by its header, anywhere on the screen. To make the button smaller, open Ask Luna and click the two small arrows in its header: it becomes a small purple X.

Luna couldn't help. What next?

Click Talk to a person or the thumbs-down under the answer, then Open a support ticket. The team gets your conversation, so you don't need to repeat yourself.
