Use Miro with MonstarX

In shortConnect Miro in Backend → Cloud by signing in and choosing a team. MonstarX's builder can then list, search and read your boards and the items on them, in any mode. It only reads — it never changes a board — and your app never gets your Miro account.

Read your boards and what is on them.

Miro is an online whiteboard. Connect it to a project and MonstarX’s builder — the AI you chat with — can read the boards where you planned your app: build the screens from a user-flow board, turn a brainstorm of sticky notes into features, or check a workshop’s decisions.

This is a business tool: MonstarX reads your boards for you. The app you build never gets your Miro account.

Everything is read-only and works in any mode.

What MonstarX can do
List boards you can see, or search them by name
Read a board — its name, description and details
List the items on a board — sticky notes, text, shapes, cards and frames, with what they say and where they sit, 10 to 50 at a time

What it never does: add, move or delete items, create or delete boards, or change who a board is shared with.

  • A Miro account and the team whose boards MonstarX should read.
  • You own the MonstarX project. Only the owner can connect or disconnect a tool.

There are no keys to copy. You sign in to Miro, choose the team, and Miro shows what MonstarX’s app asks for before you install it. MonstarX’s builder only lists and reads boards and their items.

  1. Open your project and click Backend in the top bar, then Cloud.

  2. Scroll to Connectors and find Miro.

  3. Click Connect. Miro opens. Sign in, pick the team, and allow MonstarX.

  4. You come back to your project. The row now says Connected to team and your team’s ID.

You typeWhat happens
“Read my Miro board ‘Booking flow’ and build those screens in that order.”MonstarX finds the board, reads its items and builds the flow.
“Turn the sticky notes on ‘Feature ideas’ into a plan, grouped the way they are on the board.”It reads the notes and proposes a plan.
“What did we decide on the ‘Kick-off workshop’ board?”It reads the board and summarises it.
  • Stays with MonstarX. Your Miro sign-in is stored encrypted on MonstarX’s servers. It is never written into your app’s code or given to your app.
  • One project. The connection works only in the project where you made it.
  • Read as information. MonstarX treats what is on a board as information, never as instructions.
  • Disconnect any time. Click Disconnect beside Miro in BackendCloud and confirm. MonstarX forgets the sign-in straight away. To remove MonstarX from Miro too, uninstall it from your team’s apps in Miro.
  • MonstarX reads the text on a board and where each item sits. It does not look at pictures, drawings or embedded files.
  • For a big board, name the frame or area you mean so MonstarX reads the right part.
Can MonstarX add sticky notes to my board?

No. The Miro connection is read-only.

Can it read boards from another team?

Only the team you chose when you connected. Disconnect and connect again to pick a different team.

Is this the same as building from a design?

No. Miro gives MonstarX your ideas and flows to read. To build from a finished design, see Build a working app from a Figma design.
